Anthony Joshua has revealed the huge costs of his training camps ahead of his fight with Jake Paul.
After a 15 month layoff, former unified heavyweight champion Joshua made his much-anticipated return to the boxing ring for a fight with YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul.
The Brit bounced back from the devastating knockout to countryman Daniel Dubois in September 2024 with a knockout of his own, ending the fight with Paul in the sixth round.
Both Paul and Joshua are reported to have made a massive amount of money from the fight, with some reports claiming they could have earned as much as $90million each.

But not all of this money will have gone directly to the fighters, as Joshua has revealed the huge amounts he pays for his fight training camps.

Although the fight with Paul is likely to have been a record pay day for Joshua, he will of course lose nearly half of the total purse as he is set to be hit with taxes both in the USA and the UK.
To make matters worse, Joshua revealed post-fight that his typical fight camps cost him a massive amount of money, further reducing his take home pay from the fight with Joshua.
"It's expensive! Maybe like £500,000 or $700,000," Joshua told Tristan Hamm.
Explaining the costs, Joshua revealed that he has to pay for his apartment, as well as the apartments for all of his training partners, and the food for him and his training partners throughout the camp.
On top of that, the Olympic gold medallist also pays the full costs for his trainers, all travel costs for the fight and any press requirements.

That being said, Joshua will no doubt still be delighted with his pay from the Paul fight, as he's likely to have taken over comfortably more than £30m once all was paid off.
Especially considering the fight was probably the easiest of Joshua's professional career, with Paul failing to provide any credible threat despite the fact he made it to the sixth round.
But that won't stop Joshua from returning to the ring early in the new year, as reports have suggested he could be back in action as soon as February ahead of a potential meeting with British rival Tyson Fury later in 2026.
