West Ham consider Conor Gallagher loan move as Bayer Leverkusen target Callum Hudson-Odoi

West Ham consider Conor Gallagher loan move as Bayer Leverkusen target Callum Hudson-Odoi

West Ham are eyeing up a move for Conor Gallagher while Bayer Leverkusen are looking at Callum Hudson-Odoi.

West Ham are considering a loan move for Chelsea's Conor Gallagher and Bayer Leverkusen are looking to sign Callum Hudson-Odoi, according to reports.

There is just over a week left to go in the summer transfer window but the Blues still have a lot of unfinished business.

Six signings have been announced but there are still hopes to acquire more recruits.

Anthony Gordon has emerged as a key target for Thomas Tuchel's side, and recent reports suggest that a £60 million offer is being prepared.

After having two offers rejected to this stage, there is still optimism a that a deal can be struck.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is also near to completing a move, with a reported fee of £22.8 million nearly agreed with Barcelona.

At the other end of the pitch, Wesley Fofana is still a top target but Leicester City rejected another bid, this time £70 million including add-ons, from Chelsea.

What about the players who could be departing though.

Emerson Palmieri is on the verge of signing for West Ham, with it claimed on Tuesday that 'contracts are signed' between the two clubs.

The Sun reports that West Ham are also considering a late swoop for Gallagher.

There has been a lot of interest in the midfielder who was superb for Crystal Palace last season.

He made 34 league appearances, scoring eight goals and picking up three assists.

West Ham may face competition from the Eagles and Newcastle as well who are keen to add the aggressive 22-year-old to their side.

Gallagher has featured in all three of Chelsea's opening games this season, largely due to the injuries Mateo Kovacic and N'Golo Kante have suffered.

If he wants another season of consistent first team action, he may have to consider a loan move to another Premier League side.

With the poor start West Ham have had this year, losing their first three games, Gallagher could bring further pace and power to David Moyes' midfield.

As reported by Mike McGrath, another England international in the Chelsea side is also picking up interest.

Callum Hudson-Odoi is being targeted by German side Bayer Leverkusen who are weighing up a loan-move for the winger.

When Tuchel first arrived at Chelsea, the 21-year-old was a regular member of the side, but over time his minutes and involvement have slipped.

Rather interestingly Hudson-Odoi was not seen training with the squad on Tuesday afternoon, which could suggest a move may be close to completion.
