World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) have reportedly axed a further four stars ahead of WrestleMania.

Earlier in the week, it was reported that seven wrestling superstars were dropped from the WWE roster.

The likes of Duke Hudson, Sonya Deville, Cedric Alexander, Akam and Rezar (aka AOP), Blair Davenport, and Paul Ellering were all released as part of a massive overhaul ahead of April's WrestleMania.

Taking to social media, Alexander wrote: "Thank you for the last 8 1/2 years! Being a professional wrestler has been a dream of mine since I could form memories and I will continue to do so till the good Lord says otherwise."

Now, it has been claimed that four more wrestlers have been axed.

As reported by Forbes, multiple outlets, including Wrestling INC, the likes of Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, Isla Dawn, and Giovanni Vinci are all set to be released by WWE.

Confirming her departure, Dawn wrote on social media: "Here for a good time, not for a long time. See you in 90."

The '90' is in reference to the 90-day non-compete she'll have to adhere to before representing another organisation.

Dawn's departure could also spell trouble for Alba Fyre; the pair were former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, and Dawn's exit means Fyre would have to make an impact as a singles wrestler.

In addition, due to the latest cuts from WWE, several factions have been disbanded, including Pure Fusion Collective, The Last Testament, The O.C. and The Unholy Union.

It's possible that as WrestleMania 41 gets closer, the WWE roster could change even more, meaning those competing between now and April will have to show their worth to Triple H and other WWE officials ahead of any other potential cuts.

Wrestlemania 41 is set to take place across two nights on Saturday, April 19 and Sunday, April 20 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
