It was reported just a week after WrestleMania 42 that 22 wrestlers had been axed by the WWE.
This decision is not an easy one, but in a company that is continuously attempting to create a narrative and find new stars to be the face of the sport, it can lead to brutal cuts of current stars.
That appeared to be the case this week, as it was confirmed stars like Kairi Sane and Zelina were subject to losing their place on the roster.
Due to the number of wrestlers that were axed, fans and fellow stars may have been forgiven for thinking this was the end of the cuts, but another star has taken to social media to confirm their exit from the WWE.

Carlee Bright took to Instagram to explain that she had been let go by the company, but she left a heartfelt message to her fans and wrote about her experience in the WWE.

One thing that fans may look forward to is that she did also confirm that her exit will not be felt for a while as she will be on Season 3 of WWE LFG and that this will not be the end of her wrestling career.
Bright said: “Tonight, you’ll see me on Season 3 of WWE LFG.
“What you won’t see…is that just two days ago, my time with WWE has officially come to an end.
“This wasn’t how I imagined this chapter ending, but if there’s one thing this journey taught me, it’s how to fight through uncertainty and the moments that test who you really are.
“I don’t know if there’ll ever be enough words to express the gratitude and love I have for this chapter. From all the hours filming, hair spray & makeup, long drives, and intense training days, I really did feel like my very own Hannah Montana — living the best of both worlds.
“I cherish the laughs, the memories, and the people who made this experience better than I could have ever imagined. You’ve changed my life, and that’s something I’ll carry with me forever.
“Lastly, to sweet, baby Kenny — you did it. You made it farther than you ever thought you would. You lived out your childhood dream, and that makes me truly feel like the luckiest girl in the world.
“Wrestling has such a funny way of saying, ‘I love you.’
“If there’s one thing I know about myself, it’s this: mom & dad didn’t raise a quitter.
“This chapter may be closing, but my story is far from finished. Xoxo”
Bright joined the WWE in November 2022 as part of the WWE Performance Center Fall 2022 Rookie Class. She quickly impressed, and by January 2024 she was a star within NXT.
While she would not win any significant titles during her time in the WWE, she had a strong fanbase which will surely miss her and hopes her absence from the sport is not too long.
