WrestleMania 42 took place in Las Vegas over the weekend, with several major talking points capturing the headlines – although fans were left baffled, questioning why a random person was sitting next to commentators Wade Barrett and Michael Cole.
The 42nd edition of WWE’s showpiece event was spectacular, with Roman Reigns defeating CM Punk to win the World Heavyweight Championship in night two’s main event.
This came after Cody Rhodes beat Randy Orton to retain his Undisputed WWE Championship the night prior.
Also on Saturday, Liv Morgan beat Stephanie Vaquer for the Women’s World Championship.

On Sunday, Rhea Ripley beat Jade Cargill for the WWE Women’s Championship in an entertaining match, but it was the presence of a random person – or so it seemed – on the commentary desk that got fans talking rather than the action.
When the cameras panned to the commentators, a man was sitting alongside Barrett and Cole but did not utter a single word and had no mic or earphones, leaving fans questioning who he was.
One fan said: “Yeah, first, who is he? And he didn’t actually say a word either.”
Another added: “I went to Raw back in February and before the show started there was a group of people being escorted around who got to sit at the announce table. Pretty sure it was part of some premium package, so I bet he shelled out some serious money for that lol.”
A third asked: “He’s not said a word, so what’s the point?”
A fourth commented: “The man who was at the announce table for Rhea vs Jade didn’t speak once during the match.”
But reports from ITR Wrestling have since revealed that it was Adam Weitsman, a scrap metal billionaire from New York.
The 57-year-old, who attended both nights at the Allegiant Stadium, is the owner and CEO of Upstate Shredding, a scrap metal processing company in Owego, New York.
In 2023, The Tab reported that the entrepreneur was worth around $1.5 billion. Weitsman previously appeared on the popular Netflix show Selling Sunset.
Two years earlier, Weitsman launched his own crypto mining company, Viridium LLC, which further boosted his already hefty wealth.
He has been married to his wife, Kim, since 2006, with the family residing in the LA Hills as of 2023.
Weitsman has yet to comment on his appearance on the commentary desk, although he did post a video of IShowSpeed landing a splash on Logan Paul, accompanied by the caption: “I like to do the more cultured, refined things on the weekend… @WWE”
