WWE Hall of Famer Snoop 'Doggy' Dogg was a huge hit on commentary.

American rapper Snoop 'Doggy' Dogg has been tipped to become a full-time WWE commentator after he made a surprise guest appearance at WrestleMania 40.

Snoop Dogg, real name Cordozar Calvin Broadus Jr, provided commentary for the Philly Street Fight between Bobby Lashley and Street Profits [Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins] against Karrion Kross and AOP (Akam & Rezar).

It was an entertaining match from start to finish. Bubba Ray Dudley, who featured as the special guest referee, was in top form as Bobby Lashley and the Street Profits defeated their opponents on night two.

But like he has done on numerous occasions in the past, Snoop Dogg stole the show with his quick-witted commentary style. The 52-year-old delivered a masterclass in improvisation throughout, as seen in the clips below.

Here's how fans on social media reacted to Snoop's appearance on 'The Grandest Stage of Them All'.

One said: "Give Snoop Dogg a full time contract I'm crying," while another commented: "Keep @SnoopDogg on commentary forever!!!"

A third wrote: "From Snoop Dogg's commentary, The Rock giving his best dramatic performance in years to Cody finally finishing the story, everything about last night's Wrestlemania was incredible."

A fourth said: "Can we please have Snoop Dogg added to the commentary team for WWE 2K25?"

A fifth added: "Snoop Dogg needs to be on commentary for WWE more often. He is hilarious."

Snoop, who was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2016, has previous for appearing at WrestleMania. In fact, last year, he was praised for using his initiative after Shane McMahon suffered an injury.

McMahon came up against The Miz, but things quickly went wrong when he leapfrogged Miz and awkwardly fell to the ground with a torn quad.

Cameras quickly cut away from the wrestler as he writhed in pain, but Snoop stepped in to save the day. Out of nowhere, the rapper jumped into action and delivered a solid punch to knock out The Miz.

He soon embraced his inner Rock and hit a People's Elbow for the victory.

After the match, Paul 'Triple H' Levesque praised the American rapper, saying: "My hats off to Snoop, just picking it up and just [being like] 'oh man, he's hurt? Alright, I'll fix that.' He's a natural born entertainer.

"I've known Snoop for years in this environment and what kind of a fan he is but man tonight... he put himself in a different playing field for me.

"I know a lot of guys who have been in the business a long time and if that happened they'd be like 'what do we do'. [He] didn't miss a beat. It was amazing."
