WWE fans have criticised Triple H, accusing him of 'ruining' John Cena's final match.
On Saturday night, Cena's illustrious WWE career came to a close inside the Capital One Arena in Washington DC.
While many expected Cena to end his career victorious, fans were left shocked as Gunther beat the 48-year-old via submission, sending the wrestling legend into retirement with a loss. He also tapped out for the first time in over 20 years.
Back in 2004, Cena tapped out of his match against Kurt Angle.

Reacting to the result, fans were heard booing and chanting 'bulls***' and 'you f****d up'.
On social media, fans were far from impressed with WWE's chief content officer, Triple H, accusing him of ruining Cena's last outing.
One fan said: "I have no words. John Cena tapped. The crowd chanting f*** Triple H. This is a disaster."
Another tweeted: "Triple H is a self-absorbed self so annoying get away from the ring ur literally ruining Cena’s moment."
A third fan added: "I’m soooo glad they’re booing Triple H. He completely ruined the company."
Someone else wrote: "After everything John Cena has done for the WWE, this is how they decide to end his career…Triple H, u deserve nothing."
A fifth commented: "Triple H has blood on his hands..."
Another fan said: "So this is how they treat a legend?? WWE, what have you done??"
However, some fans backed Triple H, one said: "I don’t have a problem with the outcome because while, my Cena loving heart, would have love for him to win, Gunther winning is best going forward."
Another user commented: "You guys think it was all Triple H?? I'm sure Cena would have had a say!"
Triple H reacts after being slammed by WWE fans
Reacting to the criticism, Triple H said: "I’m actually mildly disappointed, I thought it would be so much louder.
"There are time honoured traditions in our business, there are ways that you handle your business. John has said the right thing in his entire career, that it is about leaving this business better than you found it,’ he explained."
He added: "I’m gonna do that my entire career. I will do what I think is right for this business. It just is what it is. I realise that’s difficult for people to understand."
