
A former WWE star says he is still getting paid by the promotion despite not appearing since 2005.
The WWE boast a star-studded roster, including the likes of John Cena, Logan Paul and Cody Rhodes.
But the company recently made a series of ruthless cuts, trimming their roster.

Maven - full name Maven Huffman - is also no longer on the roster, having not competed for the WWE since 2005.
However, he is still being paid by the WWE.
Maven still receives quarterly royalty checks for his four-year stint in the WWE during the tail end of the Attitude Era.
Royalties are known to be lucrative in the company.

The American burst onto the scene when he won the first season of WWE reality TV series, Tough Enough - a show aimed to find the next top star.

Maven will be most remembered for his Royal Rumble outing in 2002 when he eliminated WWE legend The Undertaker.
He also became a three-time WWE Hardcore Champion.

Even though he has been away from the WWE for 20 years, Maven still receives payments from the professional wrestling leaders.
"Once the WWE put out the Network, I will be honest, royalty payments for me took a nosedive," he said,
"The last royalty check I got was $63. But, even still, the fact that I’m getting checks for a job I haven’t done in almost 20 years, I’m eternally grateful, and it still kinda shocks me to this day."
Maven retired from wresting in 2016 and took several jobs before landing a surprise position on Wall Street.

The 48-year-old also launched a YouTube channel and became a big hit online, owning 600,000 subscribers on his platform.
On his WWE career, Maven said: "I’m happy.
"When this appearance came out and people reacted it’s good and humbling to know that people still miss me, still remember me.

"It’s been quite a while. These days I’m in The City, I’m in New York. I work for a financial company in Wall Street, TTC.
"Living in Jersey, so a little bit different from the wrestling days, but still keeping my eye on what you guys are doing."
