Drew McIntyre breaks the internet and sends WWE fans wild with tweet during Wrestlemania match

Drew McIntyre broke the internet by sending a tweet during a Wrestlemania match.

Drew McIntyre broke the internet by sending a tweet during a Wrestlemania match.

McIntyre took on Seth Rollins during the second night of Wrestlemania 40 for the World Heavyweight Championship.

The Scottish Warrior has ushered dominance over the past year and proved a worthy opponent to incumbent heavyweight champion Rollins.

In fact, McIntyre took the match so lightly that he even found the opportunity to post on X (formally Twitter) while the World Heavyweight Championship was on the line.

On the platform, Mcintyre said: “Bored at work. LOL!”

The Scot was able to live up to the audacious ploy by ultimately defeating Rollins with two Claymore Kicks to claim the title.

His tweet sent X into raptures, with one person responding: “LMAOOOOOOO GREATEST TO EVER DO IT.”

Another said: “This man really tweeted on the phone.”

A third added: “First wrestler to tweet during WrestleMania! #Legend.”

While McIntyre was celebrating his victory, however, Damien Priest entered the arena with his Money in the Bank briefcase and challenged the newly crowned champion.

Priest immediately hit Mcintyre and came out victorious.

This prompted a follow-up Tweet from McIntyre, which merely said: “F**k.”

One person replied: “KARMA CAME FOR U LMAOOO” while a second added: “Being a social media menace can only get you so far.”

A third person said: “10/10 follow-up tweet.”

A fourth wrote: “YOU STILL MY GOAT”.

Elsewhere, it was an event full of guest appearances. Night one of Wrestlemania saw Jason Kelce and Lane Johnson make shock appearances, before Bubba Ray Dudley and Snoop Dogg stunned fans by getting involved in the fight between The Final Testament and The Pride.

The most surprising of the guest appearances was iShowSpeed, disguised as a Prime bottle, in Logan Pauil’s triple-threat match against Randy Orton and Kevin Owens for the United States Championship.
