Ex-WWE world champion's 'eye leaks' during gruesome Power Slap defeat and the crowd were disgusted by it
Former WWE champion Jake Hager suffered a brutal eye injury during his latest Power Slap match, forcing fans to look away in horror.
Hager was one of several men competing in a Power Slap event in Texas on September 17, facing Johnny Magna in a match early on the card.
Like all Power Slap matches, Hager and Magna took it in turns striking their defenceless opponent as hard as they can on the face, leading to a nasty injury that led to Hager leaking blood from his left eye.

During his impressive wrestling career, Hager spent more than a decade with WWE, performing under the name Jack Swagger.

After signing in 2006, Hager's best period in WWE came after he on the Money in the Bank ladder match at WrestleMania 26 and cashed in five days later, defeating Chris Jericho for the World Heavyweight Championship.
In 2012, he also defeated Zack Ryder to win the United States Championship, before ultimately requesting his release after contract negotiations broke down, with WWE officially confirming his departure on March 1, 2017.
Earlier this year, he made a surprise career move signing a six-appearance deal with Power Slap earlier this year, starting his run with a third-round knockout win over Devin Jenkins at Power Slap 19 in April.
His second appearance didn't exactly go to plan as he was knocked out by Amanpreet Singh at Power Slap 21 in July.
And now, his third outing has gone even worse as he suffered a brutal injury to his left eye following a huge slap in the second round that forced the doctors to stop the match.

Within seconds of Magna's strike connecting, Hager started wincing and holding his eye and complaining about an injury.
"He hit me right in the eye," Hager said as he winced through the pain.
As the cameras zoomed in, it became clear that blood had started to leak from the former WWE champ's eye, suggesting the injury was worse than expected.
Of course, the match was then called off, with Magna declared the winner.
What's next for Jake Hager after latest Power Slap loss
After his last knockout loss to Singh in July, Hager received a 45-day medical suspension to give him some time to recover from the concussive blows.
Given the fact that he sustained what appears to be a far more serious injury in his most recent outing, it's likely that Hager will take a much longer break before returning for another slap event in the future.
And it wouldn't be a complete surprise if he decides not to return at all because, as proven by the struggles of former UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall, eye injuries can not only derail your career, but your life as a whole.
