Tyson Fury knocks out WWE star and serenades audience at Clash At The Castle

One man that certainly made an impact at WWE’s Clash At The Castle event was WBC heavyweight boxing champion, Tyson Fury.

Sitting ringside at the first stadium event the wrestling company has held in the UK since SummerSlam 1992, the Gypsy King sure made his presence known.

The main event of the night pitted Scottish superstar and crowd-favourite Drew McIntyre against Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

It was a match full of back and forth that had fans at Cardiff's Principality Stadium on the edge of their seats, and one moment, in particular, had them going wild.

As McIntyre and Reigns were both struggling to make their way to their feet, Money In The Bank holder Austin Theory sprinted his way down to the ring.

Holding the Money In The Bank contract means Theory can cash in for a championship match at any time, essentially meaning he could've turned the match into a triple threat and pinned one of the men while they were already down and out.

But just as he was about to ‘cash in’ he copped a vicious right hook from one particular overzealous crowd member - Tyson Fury.

The British boxer had leant over the guard rail to lay one in and stop Theory from ruining the matchup in perhaps the best moment of the night.

His right hand left the wrestler face down and out as the impact sounded incredible.

Fury’s night wasn’t over there, though.

The main event went on to finish with Reigns stealing the win with help of his debuting cousin Solo Sikoa, leaving fans devastated.

As the champ celebrated, a fellow champ stepped in the ring to face off with him, with the Gypsy King towering over the usually formidable-looking Reigns.

The crowd were amped up with anticipation, however, the pair didn’t come to blows and instead shook hands with Reigns acknowledging that Fury helped him by knocking out Theory.

The undefeated boxer then went over and confronted his on-again, off-again rival Drew McIntrye.

Then, in perhaps the least predictable and most unconventional moment of the night, Fury grabbed a microphone to compliment McIntyre on his performance and then began serenading the fans in Wales with a version of Don McLean’s ‘American Pie’.

What a day yesterday at @WWE #ClashAtTheCastle definitely worth the 30 year wait & the show finished with a rendition of American pie by @Tyson_Fury & @DMcIntyreWWE 🥊🎶 pic.twitter.com/clAnPDvXbv

The festivities didn’t stop there as Drew joined in on the chorus and then began his own serenade, singing the chorus to Oasis’ ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’.

It was a truly bizarre moment, but one that fans will remember for quite some time.

Fury has previously wrestled in the WWE against Braun Strowman at their Crown Jewel 2019 event in Saudi Arabia.
