Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson Surprises His Mum With A House

Dwayne 'the Rock' Johnson might be best known as the most electrifying man in all sports entertainment but he's also got a huge heart, as he showed by buying his mum a new house.

The former WWE superstar is as well known for entertaining the masses on social media these days as he is with his roles in plenty of Hollywood films.

However, it's not always about entertainment for the 50-year-old and, whilst he may not be the head of the table in the Anoa'i family tree these days, he still takes time to look after his family.

He posted a wonderful video on social media of his mum's tearful reaction after she saw the house he surprised her with for the first time.

In a post on Instagram, the People's Champion wrote, "Love you mom and surprise!

"When I was a little boy, I hated when my mom would cry ~ these days, I’ll happily take her tears of joy.

"I surprised my mom and bought her a new home. Took me and my design team 8 weeks to get it ready, where she could walk thru her front door for the very first time and everything she saw was brand new and a total surprise.

"I’ve been lucky enough to have bought her a few homes over the years, but this one is special as she’s told me over and over these past few years, 'After a lifetime of traveling, I want this home to be my last. That's my dream.'

"Mom, there’s no greater feeling than to make you happy ~ welcome home.

"I always say, if you got a good mom then you got a shot at becoming a good, caring human being.

"Let’s all give our mamas a big grateful squeeze this weekend and make ‘em happy."

Yeah but in fairness Dwayne, they'll all be disappointed we haven't gone out and bought them a house now, as lovely a hug with their son will be.

WWE fans certainly hope that the Rock one day returns to the promotion for one more match, at least, as they'd love to see him face cousin Roman Reigns.
