Why Logan Paul had his socks cut at wedding as bizarre tradition revealed

Logan Paul and partner Nina Agdal tied the knot at a lavish wedding ceremony in Lake Como on Friday, having got engaged there just over a year ago.

The WWE superstar, who is scheduled to face John Cena at the Clash in Paris event, posted two snaps of he and his model wife on the day of their wedding - which was officiated by his IMPAULSIVE co-host Mike Majlak.

The 30-year-old resposted an Instagram video of he and Agdal, the mother of his child, being hoisted into the air while sat on chairs.

But another clip which circulated online showed Paul being in complete and utter confusion at the tradition he was subjected to on his special day.

'The Maverick' was held up by four tuxedo-wearing man and shouted, "What the hell is going on?!" and "What the F***?!" after his shoes were removed and the tip of his socks were cut open.

With his toes exposed for all to see, Paul was in stitches and perplexed at what had happened to him.

The actions seemed extremely random but it turns out that in Denmark, where Paul's wife is from, it is an old tradition for the groom have his socks cut.

It's said that in the medieval times, the groom's socks would be cut so that if he were to commit infidelity, the woman would know he was married.

According to one guide of Denmark wedding traditions, the bride must then sew the socks back together as her first chore.

The sock cutting is believed to symbolise "the fact that he can no longer wander" as the husband is committed to his wife.

That wasn't the only unusual viral video to come out of Paul's day of celebration. An expensive-looking cake was cut in line one of the most popular wedding traditions, but Paul's younger brother, 12-1 professional boxer Jake, was seen punching it.

Logan egged on his sibling as he pummelled the cake with punches as "We are Family" by Sister Sledge played in the background. The two shared an embrace afterwards.

The Problem Child' shared the video of his latest boxing bout on his Instagram page with the caption, "Jake or cake?".
