Former WWE superstar Mandy Rose has opened up on the herpes outbreak during her time in NXT.
Rose - real name Amanda Rose Saccomanno - reflected on her early days in WWE's developmental territory, NXT, where she became the Women's Champion.
But before she made her main roster debut in November 2017, the 35-year-old endured several challenges, including a herpes outbreak in NXT.
She claimed that the wrestlers had to clean the ring in NXT because there was an outbreak of the sexually transmitted infection.

"Then we had to clean the rings in NXT, because there was a herpes outbreak. I don’t even know if everyone knows that one," she said on the Power Alphas Podcast, which she co-hosts with husband Tino Sabbatelli, who also appeared on NXT.
"Oh my gosh! Remember that?! Oh, please don't even talk about it," Sabbatelli replied.

Rose added: "Remember Daria had the Ninja Turtles thing on with the vacuum. I think this is the beautiful thing, too, that I get why they do this for most people, as well as because there’s always, you know, a bottom. You always have to work your way out. But things have changed a lot in WWE."

Rose left the WWE in December 2022 after she was released from the wresting promotion.
She was let go from the WWE despite her popularity.
Rose held the NXT Women's Championship for an unprecedented 413 days, beating the likes of Roxanne Perez, Wendy Choo, Zoey Starks, Cora Jade, Kay Lee Ray, Io Shirari [Iyo Sky], Meiko Satomura, and Blair Davenport.
But her reign came to an end in December 2022 when she was dethroned by Perez.

The WWE subsequently announced that Rose was released from her contract, citing her OnlyFans content - which violated the company's policy.
