Following positive developments on multiple fronts on Tuesday, United will hopefully continue as the enter their third day of pre-season under Erik ten Hag.

19:53 BST: There have been updates in the last hours, with Paul Hirst saying that Alex Telles and Brandon Williams' future at the club are in doubt, and both could leave following Malacia's arrival, the latter could be on a permanent or loan deal.

Malacia will also be getting a hefty pay rise at United, he's currently on around £13,000 per week before tax at Feyenoord.

16:43 BST: Dean Henderson will have a medical at Nottingham Forest at the end of this week ahead of his season-long loan move, according to Tom Collomosse of the Daily Mail.

He adds that the deal is expected to be announced in the coming days.

15:55 BST: New reports from Jamie Jackson of The Guardian say that a fee of €65m with €20m in add-ons has been agreed in principle with Barcelona.

Negotiations are now centred around personal terms. De Jong is open to joining United and is now minded to sign for Ten Hag's side.

The report adds that Tyrell Malacia is keen for United and it is expected that a deal is signed off soon. There is also hope that Christian Eriksen could join United, despite previously signalling a preference to remain in London. There is recognition that he has a lot of factors to consider.

12:58 BST: Alvaro Fernandez could be heading out on loan next season following the imminent signing of Tyrell Malacia.

The teenager won the U23s Player of the Year last season and impressed many with his performances from left-back.

Rich Fay of the MEN has reported that United are open to sending him on loan next season, however, United sources have reiterated that any loan exit will need to be sanctioned by Erik ten Hag, who is set to give Fernandez a chance during pre-season.

It is understood that Championship clubs are already interested in his services next season.

12:34 BST: Alex Crook of TalkSPORT has reported that United are preparing a £40 million bid for Lisandro Martinez.

The player is largely admired by Erik ten Hag. United will try to pry him away from an Arsenal move, after they made an offer for the player last week.

11:25 BST: Latest reports suggest that personal terms are coming along for Malacia to United.

The left-back almost has an agreement with the Old Trafford club, with just a few details left, according to Voetbal International.

It's added that he and his agent are heading for a quick agreement with United.

10:48 BST: It looks like two of United's left-backs could be out of the door by the end of the window following Malacia's signing.

Samuel Luckhurst of the MEN has added in a new report that Alex Telles' future is in doubt, with Ten Hag not seeing the Brazilian as credible competition at left-back.

Meanwhile, Brandon Williams is still seeking an exit this summer via loan or transfer.

Luke Shaw is still considered as the number one choice in the position, but Malacia will be a solid competitor for the Englishman.

Manchester United have agreed deals in principle for both Tyrell Malacia and Frenkie de Jong, according to Samuel Luckhurst of the MEN.

Both deals are subject to medicals, but once completed, United will move onto other targets.
