The latest transfer reports on Manchester United today.

Manchester United's latest news on 29 June was prominent, with progression in deals for Frenkie de Jong and Tyrell Malacia.

Ten Hag's team had their very first pre-season training session under the Dutchman on Monday, and Tuesday saw developments in the transfer market.

De Jong is closer to departing Barcelona for Manchester, with the upfront fee looking to be €65 million. Meanwhile, United hijacked Lyon's move for left-back Malacia from Feyenoord. His signing seems immanent.

Lequipe have reported that Tyrell Malacia has chosen Manchester United, and has told Lyon of his decision.

The defender will likely be the first of the Erik ten Hag era.

22:45 BST: The late night news suggest that United will turn to Lisandro Martinez after they secure the signing of Tyrell Malacia.

That's according to Paul Hirst, who updated his article written earlier in the day. He says that once the deal is complete for the left-back, United will focus on the Argentine.

He revealed that while Arsenal have been pressing for the central defender, United have asked Ajax to keep them updated to the situation as the discuss how much to offer for the defender.

18:48 BST: There have been more updates regarding Tyrell Malacia to United in the last hours.

David Ornstein and Laurie Whitwell of Athletic have reported that a deal worth €17m (€2m in add-ons) has been agreed between the two clubs.

They added that personal terms still need to be agreed with the player to complete the transfer.

Elsewhere, Feyenoord's Sporting Director admitted to 1908NL that if Malacia says yes to the move, then a United transfer is imminent.

Manchester United have made a €15m plus add-ons proposal for Feyenoord's Tyrell Malacia, according to Fabrizio Romano.

This is higher than Lyon's verbal agreement for the player, which is €12m plus €3m in add-ons.

The player will now make a decision on his future.

That's according to The Times, who say United have received two 'tentative enquiries' for the Scotland international, but United will resist any offers for the player.

An agreement between Barcelona and Manchester United for Frenkie de Jong is now 90% complete, according to Sami Mokbel of the Daily Mail.

There are now only the finer details to finalise before the player reunites with Erik ten Hag, this was a major factor in De Jong's willingness to join United.

13:40 BST: United goalkeeper Nathan Bishop is in talks to join League One outfit Wycombe Wanderers on loan this season, according to Rich Fay of the MEN.

Garnacho will swap 75 for 49, while left-back Fernandez will don the 42 shirt after having 74 last season.

The player's agent met with Chelsea's owner last week and discussions believed to include the possibility of the Premier League switch for United's no.7, however sources at Old Trafford believe that there "innumerable" clients of the agent likelier to join the Blues than their main man.

It is said that the two clubs have a "broad agreement" on the fee, which is believed to be €65m with performance-based add-ons on top of that.

They add that discussions are continuing over the final details, but it appears that there's an increased confidence that a deal can be struck.

Personal terms are not expected to be a problem.
