Manchester United are looking to sign Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic on loan for the coming season.

This comes after the club suffered embarrassing defeats to Brighton and Brentford, where the only goal the side scored in the two fixtures was an own goal from Alexis Mac Allister.

Erik ten Hag is looking for attacking options after losing Jesse Lingard, Edinson Cavani and Juan Mata earlier on in the window.

Cristiano Ronaldo may add to this list two, with the club now open to listening to offers for the player despite Joel Glazer being reluctant to sell.

Manchester United have now reportedly turned their attention to Christian Pulisic on a one year loan deal in order to temporarily give the Dutch manager more options in attack.

Chelsea are said to be open to listening to loan offers for the player.

Pulisic is known to be frustrated at Chelsea right now, with the player not featuring too much in Thomas Tuchel's sides.

He played 38 times last season, scoring eight goals and registering five assists, and this season has only played 31 minutes across the opening two games of the Premier League season.

Pulisic is well known to be a big fan of Manchester United, and is open to the move.

However, the Red Devils are not the only side who are interested in the player.

It is said that Newcastle, Juventus and Atletico Madrid are all circling and have made approaches for the player who is the most expensive North American footballer of all time.

Speaking back in 2017, Pulisic revealed his love for the Manchester club.

"I was a big Manchester United fan when I was younger," Pulisic told ESPN. "I loved to watch Rooney. I wouldn't say I'm a similar player, though.

"I think his passion for the game is something you don't see much in players. That's what I loved about him."

Manchester United are still looking for a striker, goalkeeper and potentially two more midfielders as the transfer window draws to a close.

Casemiro has been a name that has risen as a prime target for Erik ten Hag, after a move to United for Adrien Rabiot fell through due to wage demands.

Jamie Vardy, Raul de Thomas and Mauro Icardi have all emerged as targets in the striker position.
