Manchester United will be looking to continue their opening two victories in pre-season.

After emerging victories with back to back four-goal hauls against Liverpool and Melbourne Victory and then a further win over Crystal palace, Manchester United will now turn their attention to Aston Villa on Saturday 23 July.

Against Crystal Palace, Jadon Sancho was yet again a standout performer, with the player receiving heavy praise for his three performances under Erik ten Hag so far this summer.

Similarly, the match saw both Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial yet again on the scoresheet – two players who last season had torrid times, most notably Anthony Martial, who has surpassed his goal tally from last season in these three fixtures.

With Manchester United having wrapped up in Melbourne, this fixture will take place in Perth.

Speaking on the victory to MUTV, Ten Hag noted: “It’s pre-season. We are happy with the improvement we see, but there’s also a lot of work to do.

“But, we scored some wonderful goals, that’s also true."
