Conor McGregor has commented on the death of longtime rival Khabib Nurmagomedov's father Abdulmanap and offered his condolences.
Abdulmanap, who was also Khabib's MMA coach, died in a Moscow hospital due to complications of COVID-19, aged 57.
The MMA world has mourned the loss and McGregor took to Twitter on Friday evening to pay tribute to a "dedicated supporter" of the UFC.

He stated: "The loss of a father, a coach, and a dedicated supporter of the sport. Condolences and rest in peace Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov."
'The Notorious' did not address his recent comment of Abdulmanap's condition being a 'cover-up'.

Per RT.com, the Irishman said in an Instagram comment on Abubakar Nurmagomedov's post: "I figured it was all just a cover up about Abdulmanap.
"A cover up to hide the lack of activity and the pulling out of fights and running away. Good luck but remember - Allah sees all!"
Abdulmanap suffered a heart attack after being diagnosed with coronavirus, which required emergency surgery.

He was then twice placed into a medically-induced coma with his condition being reported as "serious but stable."
Chechen Republic leader and friend of the Nurmagomedov family Ramzan Kadyrov reported the news earlier on Friday.
Current lightweight champion Khabib hasn't fought since September 2019, when he defended his title against Dustin Poirier at UFC 242 in Abu Dhabi.

'The Eagle' was reportedly set to take on interim lightweight champ Justin Gaethje at UFC 253 in September.
However, the devastating loss of his father could indefinitely postpone the UFC championship bout.
Abdulmanap coached his son throughout his MMA career and helped lead the Dagestani brawler to 28 consecutive victories in the UFC.
