Conor McGregor famously snatching then-UFC featherweight champ Jose Aldo's title in 2015 has been described as the 'exact moment MMA became more than a sport.'
That's according to one fan theory on Twitter, which has already attracted over 3,000 retweets and over 18,000 favourites at the time of this writing.

McGregor and Aldo's hotly anticipated clash at UFC 183, which was later pushed back to UFC 194, was promoted across a 12-day world tour.
The tour kicked off in Rio de Janeiro in Aldo's native homeland before finishing in McGregor's hometown of Dublin.
And McGregor wasted no time in giving the Irish fans a memorable moment and showing why he is the ultimate opportunist.
The Irish superstar continued his trash-talking antics and pounced on the opportunity of Aldo letting his guard down.

Aldo leaned back on his chair before McGregor instantly leapt to his feet, snatched the title from the table and hoisted it above his head.
UFC president Dana White tried to settle down the situation between Aldo and McGregor as those in attendance cheered the 'Notorious' on.
MMA Gone Wild's tweet has left many fans agreeing that McGregor 'transformed the sport forever.'
"No one has come close to this man at his peak. Special," one fan wrote.
While another tweeted: "Nothing like a Conor press conference man brings a different energy."

A third argued: "We never deserved Conor. So many people on here cheer for obscure s**t but nothing, maybe in all sports, was as amazing as Conor's rise through the featherweight division."
And a fourth added: "Conor won the fight before it even begun. One of the greatest moments in sports history."
McGregor would face Aldo at UFC 194 and secured a sensational 13-second KO victory en route to capturing the featherweight championship.
Watching back the moment where he snatched the title, McGregor told UFC's YouTube page: "He blinked, and then I had the belt.
"You blink, and then the next thing you know the belt is around my waist. I am fast."
