Conor McGregor has been challenged by a multiple UFC record holder after five years out of the Octagon.
McGregor broke his leg at UFC 264 in July 2021, stopping his rematch with former interim lightweight champion Dustin Poirier and condemning the Irishman to a second defeat against the same opponent in six months.
Top MMA journalist Ariel Helwani reported that McGregor is slated to return against Max Holloway at UFC 329 in July and another fighter has his sights on the former lightweight champion too.
New Jersey fighter Jim Miller forced compatriot Jared Gordon to tap out in the first round of their bout in the 42-year-old's home state on Saturday.

After the submission, he addressed the possibility of a long anticipated first meeting with a fellow UFC legend.
"I think that'd be a fun fight," he told reporters in Newark when asked about taking on McGregor when the Irish fighter is back in action.
"I’ll test that new ankle he’s got there, that titanium.
"Honestly, I feel bad for him because he hasn’t had the opportunity to fight in so long. Yeah, they know my number."
UFC chief Dana White confirmed that Miller has signed a five-fight extension that would take him past 50 bouts for the promotion.
Miller already holds the record for the most career UFC fights, with Saturday's defeat of Gordon being his 47th.
He has 10 more bouts on his record than fellow American Neil Magny and Brazil's Charles Oliveira, and 11 more than Rafael Dos Anjos and Jeremy Stephens.
Jim Miller's UFC records
Andrei Arlovski topped out at 42 bouts, Donald Cerrone at 38.
Miller has won 28 of his 47 fights, with every new win extending a record he broke when he used the same guillotine choke to stop Cerrone four years ago.
Oliveira has the promotion's second-highest win tally with 25. He beat Holloway by unanimous decision in March but has lost three of his last seven bouts.
At 36, many fans doubt the Brazilian's ability to win at the rate required to catch up with a record that's still being stretched by the first UFC fighter to reach 30 fights, 40 fights and, soon, 50 bouts.
Miller has the most fights and most Octagon time in the lightweight division, and is only three losses away from becoming the UFC's most-defeated fighter too.
