Body language expert reveals Emma Raducanu's true feelings on Carlos Alcaraz after 'never-before-seen' change

A body language expert has shared insight on Emma Raducanu's true feelings towards Carlos Alcaraz after she was forced to address romance rumours.
The pair will be teaming up as a mixed doubles pair at this year's US Open which kicks off in New York on 24 August.
Before then the duo are both firmly focused on Wimbledon, with Raducanu taking on 17-year-old compatriot Mingge Xu and Alcaraz kicking off the defence of his crown against Fabio Fognini.
Earlier this month, Raducanu was seen cheering Alcaraz on at Queen's Club, where he went all the way in the Wimbledon warm-up by defeating Jiri Lehecka.

The duo are both global brand ambassadors for water brand and Wimbledon sponsor Evian and starred in a promotional photoshoot at the All England Club.
With rumours of a romance swirling online, Raducanu was asked about the possibility of love being in the air during an interview with the BBC and said, "I'm glad the internet’s having fun and we're providing some entertainment for everyone!"
She was then asked about it during a press conference last week and clarified that they are "just good friends" before media obligations were wrapped up.

But while the 22-year-old denied any relationship talk, body language expert Darren Stanton analysed the viral clip and stated that he has "has never seen" the change in emotion displayed by Raducanu in his career.

He also claimed that even if there isn't anything happening, there is potential in the future.
“I've never seen somebody jump from a neutral position to a joy, happiness, elated, giddy emotion ever in my career," Stanton said, speaking to OLBG.
"I think if something's not already going on, she really wants it to.

“It was literally like flicking a switch. I don't often make statements like that. She's gone from 0 to 160 in about one-fifth of a second, in terms of her emotion.
“So, most definitely, if it isn't going on, she really wants it to, but I think there could definitely be a bit of disclosure happening at some point with these two.
“I think even if it's not in the throes of a romantic relationship, I think all the kind of foundations and groundwork are there for them to be in a romantic relationship.”

Raducanu jumped at the chance to team up with the 2025 French Open winner but did have to ask for permission from her team.

Asked how the friendship with the Spaniard came about in a recent interview, she explained: "I've known him for years. And actually in Wimbledon 2021 it was like kind of the first time I started getting to know him, and I had a good run there and then also again in the US Open in 2021."
