Banned NRL star Bronson Xerri looks absolutely stacked in recent photos

Banned NRL star Bronson Xerri looks absolutely stacked in recent photos

The former Sharks player's recent social media posts have shown he’s packed on some muscle and is looking akin to a bodybuilder.

Banned NRL star Bronson Xerri has recently taken to Instagram to reveal his jacked physique as he approaches the final year of his four-year suspension.

The former Cronulla Sharks player’s recent social media posts have shown he’s packed on some extra muscle and is looking in great shape.

Xerri was suspended from the NRL back on November 25, 2019, after the league found exogenous Testosterone present in his system.

The NRL Anti-Doping Tribunal later suspended him for four years until the back-end of 2023 after they found that the centre had intentionally taken the banned substance.

After the four-year ban was announced Xerri took to social media to commit to a comeback at the end of the suspension.

He wrote: “One mistake and it’s all gone.

“I take full responsibility, I know I put myself in this position but everyone deserves a second chance.

“I was a young kid that just wanted to get back doing what I love and all that I’ve ever known, but I’ll take this 4-year suspension on the chin and come back and show you all.

“For all you haters calling me a drug cheat, you all have no clue how much I put in the work to be where I was.

“And to my loyal family and friends, words can’t express how much you all mean to me.

“The comeback is on, 2024.”

Well, if his recent photos are anything to go off, he’s getting primed and ready for that return next year.

Xerri was known for lightning-quickness during his debut season for Cronulla in 2019, scoring 13 tries over the course of a stunning year.

However, some say that he’ll need to swap the weights for some track work if he’s to return to his brilliant best in November 2023.

Recruitment veteran Peter O'Sullivan told the Sunday Telegraph: “He’d need to change his body shape to play league again.

“He was obviously a terrific player but you lose speed, flexibility and range of movement when you’re as big and strong as he’s looking.”

On the other hand, sprint coach Roger Fabri believes Xerri can back to his pacey best once the suspension is up and they can work together again.

He told Newscorp: “We have full intentions to get back together when his suspension is up.

“I agree his body shape has changed but if he really wants to get his speed back I can guarantee we’ll make it happen.”

Xerri has just three months until he is able to negotiate with NRL teams for a possible return in 2024.
