Kyren Wilson hits back at snooker rival after 'disgusting' remark made
Kyren Wilson has hit back at Stan Moody after the youngster made controversial remarks over his win at the World Snooker Championship earlier this year.
Wilson defeated Moody, one of the sport's rising stars, 10-7 in the first round at the Crucible.
Moody led 6-3 after the first session and won the first frame of the resumption, but 2024 champion Wilson racked up seven frames in a row to take victory.
Wilson won the final frame on the deciding black, and raised his fist in celebration towards a member of the gallery before shaking hands with his opponent.

'The Warrior' then waved towards the crowd before performing another fist pump as he walked out of the arena.
In June, Moody told Metro that he found Wilson's celebration 'a bit disgusting', adding: "A world champion, world number two, I think it were a bit out of order. But it is what it is.
"I think Shaun Murphy said that he's got every right to do that. He has got every right to do it, but I think a lot of people looked at that and said, he shouldn't really be doing that. I wouldn't have done that at his stage against a young lad, first time there, but everyone's different, you know?
"It obviously meant a lot to him to beat me, so good on him. I'm not bitter at all. He got to 10 first, and it is what it is. Classy player and I'll try to beat him next time."
Wilson responds to Moody criticism
Wilson was asked about the 19-year-old's comments in an interview with the World Snooker Tour on Friday - and did not hold back in response.
"Stan is entitled to his opinion. I hate to burst the bubble a little bit, but whether it is him, or any other player, is really irrelevant," he said.
"I don't care who I am playing, it was just about winning the first round of the World Championship.
"Stan, in terms of my career, is quite irrelevant. The way I saw it was, if Ronnie [O'Sullivan], John [Higgins] or Mark Williams, who are almost 20 years my superior, beat me in a tense match when they were 7-3 behind, would it be wrong if they fist pumped? Just because I'm against a young lad, it shouldn't have any relevance."
Wilson set for snooker return
Wilson has only played one competitive match of snooker so far this season after withdrawing from the Championship League in June.
He did so after being the victim of a burglary at his house, with 'The Warrior' stating that the burglars stole 'several items of significant sentimental and financial value'.
The items stolen included Ā£2,000 in cash that had been set aside to donate to the BeMoreFab Children's Cancer Charity, of which he, his wife Sophie and brother Taylor are all ambassadors to.
He will make his snooker comeback at the Shanghai Masters, a non-ranking event which he won last year.
It was one of two tournaments that Wilson won in the 2025/26 season, with the other being the prestigious Masters in January.
