Bodybuilding Youtuber ‘Joesthetics’ dies at 30 as gym partner pays moving tribute

German bodybuilder and influencer Jo Lindner has died at the age of 30, his gym partner has said.

Lindner, known online as "Joesthetics", has received an outpouring of love on social media after his sudden passing.

His girlfriend Nicha announced on Instagram that Lindner died from a sudden aneurysm, and pleaded with his fans to remember him for his hard work and incredible personality.

She posted on Instagram: "He was in my arms... than this is just happening too fast... 3 days ago he kept [saying] that he [had] pain [in] his neck ... we didn't really realise it until it was too late."

Lindner had gained fame through his bodybuilding routines and content he shared online with fans, having garnered some 8million Instagram followers and 941,000 subscribers on YouTube.

He had been living in Thailand for several years and was a well-loved source of knowledge for the fitness community around the world.

Indeed, the news was first shared by friend and fellow bodybuilder Noel Deyzel via Instagram.

In a heartwarming tribute Deyzel said: "Rest in peace Jo. I still keep checking my phone waiting for your reply so we can meet at the gym.

"I'm broken bro. You opened your arms up to us, you showed us so much about life and social media.

"Your generosity towards myself and others will always stay with me."

People from across the bodybuilding community have paid tribute to Lindner since news emerged of his passing.

On his most recent Instagram, which was posted just two days ago, contemporaries have commented their tributes.

Influencer hybridheba wrote: "The last message he shared with his community…a big source of inspiration for the world, and even more to his friends/family. Big man with a bigger heart! I’ll miss you bruzzza!!!"

Online fatloss coach Joe Frakich wrote: "Rest in peace bro. Today we lost a legend and an icon. Fly high."

Meanwhile champion bodybuilder Edgard John-Augustin said: "Rest in Peace bro."

Influencer Antonio Pozo added, in a message translated from Spanish: "What a pity you left so soon! Rest in peace Joe. A legend and even more so a great person."
