Eddie Hall's 10-year-old son presses more weight that most adults can manage in remarkable video

If you wanted your ego dented today, why not go check out a video posted by Eddie Hall's son, as it turns out the 10-year-old might just be able to bench press more weight than you.

For the uninitiated, Eddie Hall is a former World's Strongest Man winner, having defeated Hafthor Bjornsson - aka 'The Mountain' from GOT - to seal the title in 2017.

After retiring from Strongman that year, the Stoke-on-Trent native has become something of a YouTube star, documenting his life on his very own channel - which now has over 2.3 million subscribers.

However, his son, Maximus, is seemingly keen to emulate his old man both in terms of YouTube and strongman, as the 10-year-old has started showcasing what he lift on his own channel called 'Maximus Hall - Beast Jr'.

In a recent video, the youngster showed just what he could do on the bench press - and the results might shock you.

Maximus successfully pressed 40kg, a significant weight for a boy who is three years away from teenhood.

Though Maximus struggled to keep steady at points, he pushed through the pain and got up to five reps before his dad had to spur him on.

Hovering over him, the bodybuilder reminder his son about his form and watched with pride as he finished his final rep.

“That’s actually ridiculous…. that 40kg bench-press...really," Hall said, clearly impressed with his son’s Herculean efforts – which were especially impressive given his age.

The strongman then invited his camera man, Jamie, to lift the same amount to show just how difficult it was for most adults.

Unfortunately for Jamie, his attempt was far from straight-forward.

After successfully closing out one rep, the cameraman visibly struggled as he attempted to emulate Maximus' five.

Grinning to the camera, Eddie then told viewers: “Just to prove a point here, Jamie is 23 years of age and this goes to show, I think most adults cannot bench this kind of weight.”

Maximus didn't stop there, also going on to deadlift 60kg in a separate video, just to show that strongman genes really do run in the family.

Eddie is a former deadlift world record holder, famously becoming the first man in history to successfully rip 500kg off the ground.

While his lift was recently surpassed by rival Thor, it was an accomplishment that shocked the strongman world back in 2016.

Who knows, maybe Maximus can return that record to the Hall household one day!
