Stephen A. Smith has plunged the internet into meltdown with a message to Elon Musk and Donald Trump amid their feud.

U.S. President Trump, 78, and tech billionaire Musk, 53, have become embroiled in a public feud after President Trump threatened the Tesla owner’s business dealings with the federal government.

"The easiest way to save money in our budget, billions and billions of dollars, is to terminate Elon's governmental subsidies and contracts," Trump posted on social media.

Musk then took to X and replied: “In light of the President’s statement about cancellation of my government contracts, @SpaceX will begin decommissioning its Dragon spacecraft immediately."

The US relies on Dragon to carry astronauts and supplies to the International Space Station.

“Without me, Trump would have lost the election, Dems would control the House, and the Republicans would be 51-49 in the Senate,” Musk added.

The pair were initially supportive of each other during Trump’s presidential campaign, but things have quickly turned sour just six months into Trump’s second stint in the White House.

The reason for the feud involves Trump’s spending bill, something which Musk has been highly critical of.

And ESPN broadcaster Smith had his say on the matter after Musk asked X users whether it was time to "create a new political party in America that actually represents the 80% in the middle”.

Smith replied: “Mr. @elonmusk I’m all for moving America to the CENTER I’m definitely down for that cause! Sign me up!!!"

Smith has previously expressed his interest in running for President in 2028.

In November, Smith told “The View” that he was a “fiscal conservative and a social liberal”.

Users were quick to react to Smith on X.

One said: “If there’s going to be a 3rd party… I’m on board with @stephenasmith being the guy. S**t has to change."

Another added: “If Stephen A. Smith is in that political party, then I am not a part of that party.”

A third explained: “Stephen A. Smith never misses the chance to be hilarious.”

Trump himself has previously given his take on Smith when speaking on NewsNation’s Cuomo Townhall earlier this year.

“Stephen A. is a good guy,” said Trump. “He’s a smart guy. I love watching him. He’s got great entertainment skills, which is very important. People watch him.

“You know, a lot of these Democrats I watch, I say, ‘They have no chance.’ I’ve been pretty good at picking people, and picking candidates, and I would tell you: I’d love to see him run.”
