Diego Costa looks certain to leave Chelsea after being told that he's no longer wanted by manager Antonio Conte. If that seemed harsh then the text that confirmed the news to him was just brutal.
In January Costa had his head turned by the prospect of moving to China for a lot of money. Chelsea however had other plans and weren't willing to let him go. Eventually he got back to scoring ways.

There was still always a possibility of him moving on from Stamford Bridge in the summer and he was strongly linked with a return to Atletico Madrid, the club that first launched him.
Atleti's transfer ban ruled out that move but Costa is going to have to find somewhere to go with Conte telling him he's not in his plans and that move has clearly angered the Spaniard with him reportedly sending the text he received from the Italian to friends and the press.
Spanish paper AS claim they've seen the text sent from Conte to his player with the message reportedly saying, "Hi Diego, I hope you are well. Thanks for the seasono [sic] we spent together. Good luck for the next year but you are not in my plan."

The newspaper also says that Costa merely replied with "ok."
It is believed that Conte was replying to a message from the striker asking what he could work on in the summer to improve for next season and was met with the blunt news that he was no longer wanted.
Costa was so annoyed at being shrugged off that he reportedly leaked the text to his mates and the press in order for everyone to see that it wasn't him who wanted out of the club.

It is likely to mean that Chelsea have to pay the loyalty clause in his contract as it's not the player asking to move on.
The Blues are set to bring former striker Romelu Lukaku back to Stamford Bridge but their chances of reducing the £100 million asking price too much have taken a blow with Costa's reveal.
Dumped by text, harsh!
