Wayne Lineker names shock sport star who threw 'bigger party' at Ocean Beach than Conor McGregor

Wayne Lineker once named the person who threw the ‘biggest party’ at Ocean Beach.

On Wednesday, a video emerged online showing McGregor at Lineker’s Ocean Beach Ibiza nightclub in a physical altercation with another man. The former UFC champion landed two punches on the punter, before another person stepped in to separate the pair.

Lineker later revealed that McGregor had been in a fight with a friend of Liverpool and England star Joe Gomez.

"Thought about this post a lot," wrote the 63-year-old. "This is my very close friend who has worked at Ocean for eight years, he has the most special heart and in all of the years that I’ve known him he has never raised his voice once.

"He took two punches from Conor McGregor in Pacha for absolutely no reason. Let me introduce you to Joe Gooomez (sic). He took the punches like a champion. I’ve since deleted my post of Conor at Ocean on Sunday. To say I’m disappointed is an understatement.

"We at Ocean Beach Ibiza will always put our family first #wearefamily."

McGregor had previously visited Ocean Beach for his 34th birthday, an evening where the former UFC champion again, found himself in a spat with someone who threw a hat at the Irishman.

Despite McGregor’s antics however, Lineker once revealed that he was not the person that threw the "biggest" party at the Ibiza club.

Speaking on the Let Me Land podcast, Lineker said: "I had sorted everything out for KSI. Made sure he was on the owner's table - it's the best spot.

"And, because they've got the boat with 100 bottles of champagne on, that was all going to the table. They did it right. But yeah, KSI was probably, as far as celebrities go, the biggest party."

He added: "We have other people that just go crazy and spend a lot of money. Obviously, Conor McGregor... he parties! When he walks in it's just a parade. He's got all his security with him."

According to the Sun, KSI is said to have spent some £51,000 on 600 bottles of champagne at Ocean Beach.
