And before Saturday's UFC Fight Night: Sandhagen vs. Figueiredo in Des Moines, Iowa, a fighter's 15-year association with the UFC came to an abrupt end.
According to @FullContactMTWF, Brad Tavares has been removed from the UFC roster by Dana White.
Tavares made his UFC debut back in June 2010 when he beat Seth Baczynski at The Ultimate Fighter: Team Liddell vs. Team Ortiz Finale, having fought under Team Liddell in The Ultimate Fighter 11.
The Hawaiian competed under the UFC banner for 15 years, recording 26 fights inside the famed Octagon.

Tavares beat the likes of Tom Watson, Lorenz Larkin, Caio Magalhaes and Chris Weidman during his UFC career.
He outpointed Gerald Meerschaert last month, tying Michael Bisping for the most wins (16) in UFC middleweight history.
But following his UFC release, the 37-year-old won't be able to add to his UFC win tally.
Tavares won 16 of his 26 UFC bouts, losing 10. He suffered defeats to the likes of Israel Adesanya, Yoel Romero, Robert Whittaker and current UFC middleweight champion Dricus du Plessis.

He also has the most bouts in UFC middleweight division history (26).
His UFC release comes as a surprise considering how long he has been with the company. He had a winning record and was a big name in the division.
Tavares could sign for PFL if he wants to prolong his MMA career or he could join Bare Knuckle, which is part owned by Conor McGregor, if he wants to transition to bare knuckle, which many MMA fighters have done so in recent months.
