American President Donald Trump and UFC boss Dana White have 'confirmed' that a UFC event will soon take place outside The White House.
In the early hours of Friday morning, Trump made a series of major announcements while holding a rally in Iowa ahead of Independence Day celebrations.
Much of his speech was focused on the passing of his new signature tax and spend legislation, named his 'Big Beautiful Bill', in a narrow vote in the House of Representatives on Thursday.
However, the US President also took time to discuss some of the planned celebrations for America's 250th birthday next year, including a televised 'Patriot Games' involving top high school athletes.

But perhaps the biggest surprise came as Trump confirmed plans to bring the UFC to the White House for a historic event.

Long before his political career, Trump has been a strong supporter and vocal fan of the UFC and is regularly seen visiting events alongside close friend and UFC boss White.
And it appears that he is even willing to take this a step further, as he revealed that a UFC title fight will be held in front of 20-25,000 people in front of the White House next year.

“We’re going to have a UFC fight – think of this – on the grounds of the White House,” Trump said.
“We have a lot of land there. We are going to build a little – we are not, Dana is going to do it … We are going to have a UFC fight, championship fight, full fight, like 20-25,000 people, and we are going to do that as part of 250 also.”
Although the UFC are yet to officially comment on Trump's comments, White later reposted the clip of Trump's announcement on X, seemingly confirming the historic event.

Who could fight on Donald Trump's UFC card
Ever since he was first elected as US President following the 2016 Presidential race, several UFC fighters have been outspoken on their support for Trump.

In the current roster, the likes of Colby Covington, Michael Chandler and Justin Gaethje are all huge fans of the former American businessman, and therefore could feature on the card.
But, given the fact that Trump promised fans a championship fight at The White House, the one name that is almost certain to be on the card is current women's bantamweight champion Kayla Harrison.
Following the retirement of UFC legend Jon Jones, Harrison is now the only American champion in the entire roster, and she clearly caught the eye of Trump when she won her title at UFC 318 last month.
However, with the UFC White House card not expected to take place until next year, there is a possibility that Harrison could lose her belt before getting to headline the event, with her next challenger believed to be former three weight champion Amanda Nunes.
