Former UFC champions Conor McGregor was forced to delete a post on X after being brutally shut down by a Game of Thrones star.
Since his last fight in the UFC octagon against former rival Dustin Poirier all the way back in July 2021, McGregor has become infamous for his controversial rants on social media platform X.
Almost always, the former double champion will delete the posts several hours later, despite the fact that fans have already screenshotted and shared them across social media.

And that is exactly what happened on Monday night, as the Irishman was forced to take down his reply to a Game of Thrones star after the actor brutally shot him down with a viral reply.
In recent months, McGregor has decided to get more involved with political issues, claiming that he plans to one day run for Irish presidency.

On Monday, he decided to weigh in on the ongoing conflict in Gaza, as he replied to a pro-Palestine post form Irish actor Liam Cunningham, who played Davos Seaworth in Game of Thrones.

The actor was writing about Israel's seizure of the Freedom Flotilla, a Gaza activist boat carrying aid, when McGregor weighed in to make a joke about the situation and hit out Cunningham.
In a now-deleted post replying to Cunningham, the UFC fighter wrote: "I thought you were on the boat Liamo, what happened? You forgot your sea goggles? You get sea sick off the gargle? Bottler."
But Cunningham wasn't willing to accept McGregor's dismissal of the issue, as he brutally hit back writing: "Didn’t know you could read and write Conor. Thought you used your hands to tap out."

In his response, Cunningham clearly reference McGregor's infamous loss to former lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov after their bitter rivalry at UFC 229 in October 2018.
After months of heated exchanges with Nurmagomedov, the Irishman lost the fight via submission in the fourth round, tapping out after the Russian caught him in a neck crank.
Since then, McGregor has only fought three times, beating Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone in his next fight before been knocked out twice by Poirier.
