Alex Pereira has issued a message to Dana White and fans after supposedly threatening to quit the UFC with a worrying social media post.
UFC superstar Pereira hasn't fought since surrendering the UFC light-heavyweight title to Magomed Ankalaev, who scored a unanimous decision victory in their Las Vegas bout last March.
On Wednesday, 'Poatan' stunned UFC fans after he shared a concerning social media post on X.

He claimed to have 'heard' something 'disheartening' before suggesting he could walk away from the UFC.
A post from his official X account read: "I always answered the UFC’s calls, but if they want to play with me, we can do that. I’ve never spoken poorly of the UFC but with what I’ve just heard I’m disheartened. I’ve already had thoughts of not fighting anymore, and after what was just relayed to me this may be the start."
Pereira has since cleared up his social media post by claiming to have been hacked, insisting he has a 'great' relationship with the UFC.
In a video, Pereira says: "Well everyone... I've received a ton of messages... getting messages from everyone who saw a post from my Twitter.

"I didn't even know about it. I was hacked. It's been a while since I've posted anything. But I was hacked and I'll resolve it.
"I don't even know what's going on. I have a great relationship with UFC. Chama."

Pereira, 37, has enjoyed a meteoric rise in the UFC since making his Octagon debut back in November 2021.

The Brazilian succumbed to Adesanya in their rematch before moving up in weight.
He beat Jiri Prochazka to win the vacant UFC light-heavyweight title and made three defences of his championship.
