Conor McGregor Tipped for Outrageous White House Fight That Could Set UFC Record

Conor McGregor could be involved in a huge comeback fight.

A monstrous fight has been suggested for Conor McGregor's UFC comeback as he set his sights on a spot at the White House.

McGregor hasn't fought since his crushing defeat to Dustin Poirier in July 2021.

He was scheduled to face Michael Chandler in the summer of 2024 until a toe injury forced him to withdraw from UFC 303.

The 'Notorious' is hellbent on returning to action this year, eyeing a fight on the White House card, which is scheduled for June 14.

Several opponents have been linked with the 37-year-old, who seemed set to face Chandler after their original bout was postponed.

But Dana White played down a fight between McGregor and Chandler.

Ariel Helwani, however, insists Chandler should be the man to welcome McGregor back to the famed Octagon.

But the veteran combat sports reporter also tipped Paddy Pimblett to face McGregor after he came up short in his attempt to become the interim UFC lightweight champion.

Given Pimblett's new found fame following his five-round war with Justin Gaethje at UFC 324, a fight against the Irishman could generate millions and shatter records.

Speaking on The Ariel Helwani Show, he said: "Are they going to try to find... and I don't know the answer just yet, because it's still a little bit early in the game, a way out of Conor because they can't make any money off of this return.

"There's only so many fights left. One, two, three. Max. Just historically he hasn't fought in, you know what, almost five years. It'll be five years in July."

Helwani added: "Are they going to try to find a way? And so, if he is involved, I could see a scenario where it's him versus Paddy. If it's not Chandler. I think it should be Chandler No.1. If it's not Chandler, Paddy's probably No.2 at this point. And then Gaethje fights Ilia [Topuria] and Arman's [Tsarukyan] going to have to fight someone else because they just don't seem to be huge fans of his.

"I've kind of fallen on that as far as how I think this is all going to play out, but of course it can twist and turn one million different ways between now and then."

Who else could Conor McGregor fight?

Chandler and Pimblett aren't the only fighters thought to be in the running to face McGregor.

Jorge Masvidal claims to be in talks with the UFC over a return, having retired in April 2023.

He's targeting a fight at the White House and wants it to be against McGregor.

Gaethje, who won the interim UFC lightweight title at UFC 324, has also been offered to McGregor, with his manager Ali Abdelaziz calling for a fight.

There's no shortage of opponents for McGregor.
