Michael Bisping has revealed more information about when he was almost murdered in the 1990s as the former UFC star makes a fresh plea for information on the incarcerated individual who has been dubbed the ‘Hammer Killer’.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Bisping released a new video when he spoke about Northern England being reportedly 'terrorised by a serial killer between 1991 and 2004' as a man followed the same pattern with his victims.
The suspect in question would break into houses, soak the crime scene in petrol and attack the victim with a hammer, resulting in death by blunt force trauma. Bisping has taken to social media recently to confirm a story that was doing the rounds on the social media platform in which he was reportedly a target of this individual.
“Where you see this? This did happen to me," retired UFC star Bisping posted while quoting another user who’d shared extracts from an interview title: Face-to-Face with a Monster: My Exclusive Prison Interview with the Man Claiming to Be Northern England’s Elusive Hammer Killer.

The man in question claims ‘he terrorised a region for over a decade, left a trail of unsolved murders, and now he says Michael Bisping was his next victim.’
Bisping spoke of the events in question in 2021 on his official YouTube channel as he revealed that a stranger turned up at his house in the middle of the night with the 46-year-old almost a victim.

“Anyone got info on this “serial killer” that apparently tried to kill me? I give some details here. Full video coming soon,” Bisping posted in the early hours of 8 August.
Bisping, who won 30 of 39 fights and was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in 2019, admitted he previously had his theories on who the attacker could be.

“Who the f*** was this? In a split-second my mind raced over anyone — everyone — it could possibly be. It returned one name.

"The name of a thirty-something lout who I’d had several run-ins with,” Bisping said.
“The town bully who, finally, I’d snapped on and decked with a punch earlier that month.
“’Bruno?’ The intruder’s masked face startled back from the glass. The smile was gone. ‘Bruno — is that you?’ He took a step back. It was f***ing Bruno!”
During the clip on his official X account, Bisping has said he’ll go into more depth about the story on his YouTube channel.

But he shared details on how the attacker had broken into his house and thought he’d cut the phone line, thus limiting Bisping’s chances of survival.
However, the attacker inadvertently cut the wrong line, and that moment of hesitation ultimately saved Bisping’s life.
