England vs Brazil MMA Event Ends in Domination After Brutal 5v5 Fight

The result was one-sided.

An England vs. Brazil MMA event pitting five fighters against each other ended in domination for one side.

As it says in their name, Team Fighting Championship (TFC) - the UFC of 5 vs. 5 fights - is the home of team-based MMA.

It's fought until the last fighter goes down on one of the teams.

There are no eye hits, no throat hits, no groin hits and no biting, not to mention no foot stomps to the back of the head of a downed opponent.

A match-up from season three pitted England against Brazil.

Team England was made up of fighters from London, with the Sines family representing, including Luke, Oliver and Jacob.

Team Brazil, meanwhile, boasted five fighters from Sao Paulo, including Gregorio, Monster Felipao and Casca Grossa.

The 5 vs. 5 lasted less than two minutes as the result was extremely one-sided.

Team England sported red jerseys and each member started in a traditional boxing stance as they faced off against Brazil, who donned orange shirts.

As the referee signalled the start of the fight, all hell broke loose as Team England went for the attack.

From the start, there was an immediate 2-on-1 situation, with Team England using two members to gang up on a Brazilian fighter before a one-on-one situation transpired.

Chaos ensured as Team England quickly eliminated a fighter from Team Brazil following a ground assault.

Moments later, a second Brazilian fighter was beaten after he was thrown through the ropes.

Team England took full advantage of having a two-person advantage, producing a 3-on-1 fight.

Team Brazil eventually lost another fighter before Team England took control of the bout, finishing the final two fighters.

Assessing the 5 vs. 5 event that took place in 2017, host Jerry said: "What I want to see in future seasons is more strategy like what the British did.

"They literally just confused the Brazilians so much."

Martial arts expert Rob Watt compared it to chess, referencing the different angles Team England attacked from.

Hank Watt, Kajukenbo martial artist, added: "The other team doesn't speak your native tongue, so you need to be vocal."
