Fans think Conor McGregor is back to his best after spine-tingling preview of his coaching from TUF

Fans think Conor McGregor is back to his best after spine-tingling preview of his coaching from TUF

"Look at McGregor's eyes, he's ready for WAR!" A suit-wearing Conor McGregor appeared in his element on The Ultimate Fighter 31.

MMA fans are convinced that Conor McGregor’s passion for the sport is back after a spine-tingling clip emerged of him coaching on the next season of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF).

Irish superstar McGregor has been out of the octagon since he suffered a broken tibia in his second consecutive defeat to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in 2021.

The 34-year-old UFC legend underwent successful surgery on his broken leg, but his MMA future had been uncertain until Dana White’s announcement last month.

UFC president White confirmed that McGregor would take up a coaching role on The Ultimate Fighter 31 alongside fellow MMA fighter Michael Chandler.

And McGregor, who previously featured on The Ultimate Fighter 22 in 2015, will make his stunning return to the octagon against Chandler at the end of the season.

A clip has since emerged from the upcoming TUF season, which will run from 30th May to 15th August, featuring McGregor and Chandler coaching their fighters.

McGregor, who is wearing a dapper suit, can be heard barking instructions from the sidelines and showing real intensity in his role as a TUF coach.

“Oh [yeah], those McGregor crazy eyes are back, baby,” one fan said.

Someone else added: “NGL, that fire looks like it’s coming back in Conor’s eyes.”

A third wrote: “Hope TUF fires up Conor like the last one and proves that he is back for real.”

“You can tell the energy is different when Conor approaches, all fighters act different,” another commented.

While one fan posted: “Look at McGregor’s eyes, he’s ready for WAR!”

Speaking about The Ultimate Fighter 31, White said it was the “perfect” timing for McGregor to make his return to MMA after his horrific leg break.

“Conor’s a massive star, No 1,” he said after UFC Fight Night 218 last month.

“He’s been away for a while. And the timing was perfect for it. That’s why we did it.”
