Cheltenham racegoers stunned by 'outrageous' drinks prices at Festival with most expensive option £110

A drink at Cheltenham Festival won't come cheap.

The drink prices at the Cheltenham Festival have left racegoers shocked and you can see why.

Visitors, who have already won big, to the Cheltenham Festival will have to dig deep into their pockets to buy a drink over the next few days.

That's because the prices for the drinks at the Gloucestershire event are extortionate.

Racegoers will have to pay £7.50 for a pint of Draught Atlantic Pale ale, Aspall Suffolk Cyder, Madri Lager and Guinness.

While spirits from whiskey to vodka and gin are £7 for a 25ml drink and more premium spirits such as Jameson Irish Whiskey and Cognac VS will command punters £7.50.

Wine costs £9.70, with the most expensive drink being Champagne, which will set back racegoers a whopping £110.

Naturally, the drinks prices got people online talking as they couldn't believe it.

One punter wrote: "Anybody that goes to Cheltenham and pays 7.50 a pint needs to give their head a shake."

A second wrote: "Poor from Cheltenham. For the price of a pint of Guinness and a burger they could have put a roof over the track."

A third added: "Cheltenham 2024 - They’ve disposed of the paper cups. £7-50 a pint."
