Few free bets will turn out as well as this one.

One lucky punter won an incredible 1100/1 bet on the opening day of the Cheltenham Festival.

Thousands of horse racing fans have descended on Cheltenham this week for the annual Cheltenham Festival, one of the biggest meetings in the calendar.

Those not able to attend were glued to the TV coverage of the opening day on Tuesday, especially those who had placed bets.

Every year stories of punters winning incredible bets emerge, and this year's festival is shaping up to be no different.

Despite odds of 1100/1, one lucky punter's speculative five-fold accumulator came in on day one of Cheltenham.

Punter Brad Wilson won £11,408.10 from a £10 free bet he placed.

Wilson correctly picked Slade Steel, Gaelic Warrior, Chianti Classico, Lossiemouth and Corbetts Cross all to win their races at odds of 1100/1.

He shared his bet slip on X, along with a video of him manically celebrating as Corbetts Cross raced down the final straight to secure the win.

That wasn't the only incredible bet to come in on day one of the festival.

Another punter won £36,000 with Paddy Power after cashing out on a seven horse £20 each-way accumulator.

The punter's first six selections all came in, leaving him needing Embassy Gardens to win the National Hunt Challenge Cup Amateur Jockeys' Novices' Chase to win £200,000.

He ended up cashing out for £36,000, a smart decision as Embassy Gardens ended up coming second in the final race of the day.

The punter also had a £1 Super Heinz which would have won him £49,937 had it come in, but he also cashed out to take home £14,000 instead.
