Rory McIlroy showed up to Wimbledon in his iconic Masters jacket, but he has to follow strict rules when wearing the famous fit.
Back in April, golf legend McIlroy demonstrated that he had well and truly put an end to his Masters curse as he won at Augusta National for the second consecutive year.
In doing so, he became one of only four players ever to complete the impressive feat, the last of which was Tiger Woods.
The Northern Irishman held his nerve following a late charge from Cameron Young, Justin Rose and Scottie Scheffler to once again take home the iconic green jacket.

Since winning his first Masters in 2025, ending his wait for the career Grand Slam 11 years after his previous major, McIlroy has made the most of owning the jacket, taking it with him around the world.
And it appears that he's going to be doing the exact same this year, as he was spotted wearing the jacket as he arrived at Wimbledon's Royal Box on Centre Court with wife Erica Stoll for day three of the Championships.
However, McIlroy had to follow some strict rules when wearing the green jacket outside of the Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia, as he explained following his first Masters win last year.
"So you’ve gotta bring it back," McIlroy explained on The Overlap's Stick to Football.
“The only person that’s allowed to bring the green jacket off the premises is the champion for a year."
When asked where he kept the jacket, McIlroy added: “Just in my wardrobe.”
But that doesn't mean that he can wear it wherever and whenever he likes, as he explained that there are various rules he has to follow for the one year he gets to keep the jacket as reigning Masters champion.
He said: “There’s do’s and don’ts with it. You have to wear a certain shirt, a club tie, and certain trousers… only dress shoes, you can’t wear trainers.”
Who else is in the Royal Box at Wimbledon?
McIlroy is one of several of Team Europe's Ryder Cup stars present in the Royal Box on Wednesday, with Tommy Fleetwood, Justin Rose and Luke Donald also spotted on Centre Court.
On Day Three, the golfers have been joined Saltburn actor Richard E. Grant and Game of Thrones star Charles Dance as well as broadcasting legend Sir Trevor McDonald and nine-time Wimbledon champion Martina Navratilova.

Earlier in week one of Wimbledon, Sir David Beckham was spotted in the Royal Box alongside his mum, with Celia Imrie, Tess Daly, Ronan Keating and Mollie King also seen in the opening days of the tennis major.
But Beckham, as well as several of the Ryder Cup stars, will no doubt have been frustrated to hear about Wimbledon's strict rules about watching the World Cup while attending the competition.
And with England set to play DR Congo at 5pm on Wednesday afternoon, right in the middle of play at Wimbledon, McIlroy and the rest of his European teammates will have to figure out a cunning plan if they hope to watch the game at SW19.
