The 2025 Ryder Cup will go down as one of the most hostile in recent memory, with fans and players being criticised for their behaviour on the course.
Rory McIlroy's wife, Erica Stoll, appeared to be hit by a beer while walking with her husband through the Bethpage Black Course, but that was not all.
Shane Lowry launched a projectile into the crowd after enduring a torrent of abuse, and there was foul and abusive language aplenty throughout the event.
The relationship between the two teams was not much better during the thrilling weekend in New York.

Europe cruised into a dominant lead during a superb showing on Friday and Saturday.
That was enough to see them take a seven-point lead but Team USA refused to give in and showed immense couraged in the Sunday Singles to stage a fightback.
Keegan Bradley’s squad of stars almost produced the biggest comeback in Ryder Cup history but the mountain proved too much to climb.
No Ryder Cup side has ever overturned a deficit of more than four points to win on the final day.

However, at times, the competition between the players became personal.
Rory McIlroy, for example, appeared to take a dig at his American rival Bryson DeChambeau after Europe secured the victory during wild celebrations.
32-year-old DeChambeau came in for criticism after his caddie, Greg Bodine, walked into Justin Rose's eyeline during a crucial stage of a Saturday match.

McIlroy appeared to give his response when he draped a European flag over the American golfer’s name during his side’s celebrations on Sunday, as you can see in the clip above.
It only served to continue a simmering rivalry between the duo after DeChambeau claimed the Northern Irishman ignored him during his Masters win earlier this year.
Europe won the iconic event 15-13 despite Team USA’s heroic comeback and a partisan crowd, with the victory capping a superb year for McIlroy in particular.
He also stormed to victory at the Masters, ending a 10-year wait to win another major championship.

This was Europe’s fifth away victory in the history of the Ryder Cup and their first since 2012.
However, Team USA can take pride in a stunning display in the Sunday Singles that saw them win six matches.
Tyrrell Hatton was one of two undefeated players across the weekend, and he got Europe over the line in Match 10.
