Zlatan Ibrahimovic picked himself in a teammates XI

Zlatan Ibrahimovic picked himself in a teammates XI

Ibrahimovic has played with some legends of the game at Juventus, Inter, Milan, Man Utd, Barcelona, PSG and Ajax.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has named himself in an All Time XI of all the players he's played with during his career, in typical fashion.

After an incredible career for many of the best teams in the world, Ibrahimovic's time as a footballer came to an end at the weekend.

The AC Milan forward was in a surprisingly emotional mood as he finished his career with the Rossoneri after the win against Hellas Verona on Sunday.

Despite his weepy state the 41-year-old still managed to take a dig at the Verona fans who were booing him during his farewell speech.

The big Swede's career saw him win eight league title in-a-row with Ajax, Juventus, Inter Milan, Barcelona and AC Milan before his streak was broken.

He won a further four league titles with PSG on the bounce before heading to the Premier League with Manchester United, where he didn't win the league.

His return to the San Siro saw him help Milan capture their first league title in 11 years, which happened to be how long he'd been away for.

Ibra picked an all time XI from the many brilliant clubs he'd played for based only on players he'd played with, and of course he was upfront, via Sky Italia.

There are perhaps unsurprisingly none of the players that accompanied the striker during his time at Old Trafford on the list.

Zlatan did help them with the Europa League and League Cup, scoring a brace in the final of the latter, but it was far from a vintage United team.

What comes as a bit more of a surprise is the addition of Lionel Messi in the team, whilst there is no doubt how good the seven time Ballon d'Or winner is, he didn't get on great with Ibrahimovic.

Messi was 'worried' about the arrival of the striker from Inter Milan, after Barca had swapped him with Samuel Eto'o going in the opposite direction.

There's less shock that he picked a Gianluigi Buffon in goal and a defence of Lilian Thuram, Thiago Silva, Alessandro Nesta and Maxwell, you'd do well to get past that defence.

The midfield trio of Patrick Vieira, Xavi and Pavel Nedved would be very good and a brilliant foil to a front three of Messi, Ibra and Ronaldinho.
