Xbox owners able to access full FIFA 23 game a month early

Xbox owners able to access full FIFA 23 game a month early

This year's game was released early on Xbox and players were able to play it a month early if they'd already pre ordered the EA Sports title

FIFA fans who own an Xbox were treated to a surprise on Tuesday, when the game was released a month early on the platform and allowed full access to the game.

It's nearly that time of year when a slew of the best footballers in the world get offended by their rating on the latest FIFA game and the rest of us wonder why it matters.

At least FIFA ratings do give us hilarious moments such as Phil Foden and Kevin de Bruyne pranking fellow Manchester City star Kyle Walker about his rating.

This year's edition of the game is due to come out on September 30th officially, but it seems that maybe someone at EA misread the date.

On Tuesday, August 30th, the game started trending on social media after those with access to the Beta on Xbox were actually given access to the full game.

They were able to get into all aspects of the final version, including FIFA Ultimate Team and it let to the leaking of many of the team and player ratings.

"People some how getting on FIFA 23 on Xbox already. Game isn't even released yet and mistake #1 is here!" one fans said on social media.

"So Fifa 23 is now playable on Xbox? EA should just release the game now to make it fair for all of us still waiting to play the game. Classic EA," said one player, presumably PlayStation owner.

Another added, "FIFA 23 isn’t officially out yet, but somehow Xbox gamers have access to it. EA need to do better fr. Also predict there will be serious controversies over the leaked ratings - if they eventually turn out to be true."

A fourth, who may have missed the boat, asked, "How do you get on Fifa 23 on Xbox? Someone pls send us a video."

"I thought the sackings of Scott Parker and Jack Ross today would be the highlight of the day, but nope EA said hold my beer we're letting folk who are on Xbox get full access to FIFA 23 if pre-downloaded/ordered," another said, referencing earlier news.

As well as those involved in Beta testing, the full game was also available for anyone who had pre ordered the game and those with EA Play.

It has since been reported that the download file is no longer available but it won't stop those who have already got it from carrying on playing.

It is the second blunder on the release of the game already, after some people were able to purchase the game for just 5p from the Indian Epic Games store, and were allowed to keep it.
