World Cup final: Who is the referee for Argentina vs France?

The 2022 World Cup in Qatar will come to an end on Sunday when Argentina take on France in a mouth-watering final.

Both nations will be looking to win their third World Cup when they meet at Lusail Stadium this weekend.

It is potentially Lionel Messi's last opportunity to win the biggest tournament in world football and the only major trophy missing from his collection.

Argentina booked their place in the showpiece event with a 3-0 win over Croatia in their semi-final.

Meanwhile, the defending champions France beat Morocco 2-0 in the last four to reach yet another major final.

To add to the drama, Argentina talisman Messi and France striker Kylian Mbappe are level in the race for the Golden Boot.

They lead the standings with five goals each heading into Sunday's final, with Argentina's Julian Alvarez and France's Olivier Giroud closely behind on four goals each.

He becomes the first Polish official to oversee the biggest game in world football.

An experienced official, Marciniak became a FIFA referee back in 2011 and has overseen some major fixtures, including the 2018 Super Cup final match between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.
