The Matildas Olympics dream remains afloat after a stunning 6-5 comeback win over Zambia in game two.

It was a never-say-die attitude from the Tillies, who found themselves down by an unbelievable 5-2 goals 56 minutes into the match.

Barbara Banda put in a monstrous effort for Zambia by scoring a hat-trick in the first half to give the Matildas the fright of their lives.

Four unanswered goals from the Matildas would see them complete one of the all-time greatest comebacks in the sport’s history.

Michelle Heyman scored the match winner in the 90th minute to put the icing on the cake. The Matildas will now face Team USA in their next match on August 1.

“We are trying our hardest to bring something home,” Michelle Hayman said after the match.

“We knew we could do it. It was going to come.

“We gave it our all, and we never gave up.”

Set your alarms for 3am AEST on August 1 to watch Matildas against USA.
