Laura Woods' fiance has provided an update after the presenter appeared to collapse live on air on Tuesday night.

On ITV 4, Woods was presenting coverage of the women's international fixture between England's Lionesses and Ghana at St Mary's Stadium when she appeared to faint and fell towards the ground.

Stood at the presenting desk and talking into the mic at the time, Arsenal legend Ian Wright was on hand to move across and prevent Woods from falling - with former Lioness Anita Asante also alert in

In response, cameras cut away to a shot of the stadium from before swiftly moving to an impromptu advert break.

Woods was taken off hosting duties and replaced by Katie Shanahan, who was initially working as pitchside reporter for the game.

Informing viewers after the programme returned, Shanahan said: "As you have probably noticed, we don't have the wonderful Laura Woods because she's just been taken ill, but she's in very good hands, so I'm stepping in at late notice."

Shortly after, Woods' fiance and father of her child, Adam Collard, took to social media to update fans on her health.

On X, the former Love Island star wrote: "Laura is all ok and with the right people. Thank you for all of your kind messages."

ITV are yet to officially comment on the matter.

Days after trouncing China 8-0 at Wembley, England took the lead inside six minutes in the friendly, with Aston Villa midfielder Lucia Kendall opening her account for Sarina Wiegman's side.

Formerly of Sky Sports, DAZN and talkSPORT, Woods also works for TNT Sports and regular hosts the broadcaster's Champions League coverage.

She took a break from presenting while presenting and gave birth to baby boy Leo Ernie in January this year before returning to our screens in April.
