Sir Keir Starmer has already appeared to make his stance clear on whether there should be a Bank Holiday if England win the Women's Euros.
Sarina Wiegman's side reached the final of this summer's European Championship on Tuesday night after a late equaliser from Michelle Agyemang sent the semi-final game against Italy to extra-time.
Agyemang, who plays her club football for Women's Super League side Arsenal, was a ballgirl in Wiegman's first Wembley outing as head coach of England.
And the youngest member of the Lionesses squad proved her talent in the final stages of the game as she threatened Italy's backline with her impressive movement and pace.
It looked like the semi-final tie was going to a penalty shoot-out but in the 117th minute, Beth Mead was brought down in the area and referee Ivana Martincic pointed to the spot.
England's resident penalty-taker Chloe Kelly proceeded to miss from 12 yards but seconds later, the Arsenal forward tapped in the rebound to send the Lionesses into Sunday's showpiece final.

Back then, the Conservative government ruled out a bank holiday if England had won that match.
A year earlier, there was also no bank holiday when the Lionesses won Euro 2021, but prior to that final, then-opposition Labour leader Keir Starmer called on the government to award a bank holiday should England be successful in their mission.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror, Arsenal fan Starmer said: "They have already done us proud, but if they win it will be a truly historic achievement - one that should be marked with a proper day of celebration, where clubs can open and promote access for women and girls."
Following his success in the 2024 General Election, Starmer is of course in the position to grant an additional bank holiday if the Lionesses do lift the trophy in Switzerland.
Days after the election, Starmer hinted at the possibility of a bank holiday if England won the men's Euros final over Spain, though that discussion was ultimately not necessary.
