Wilfried Zaha Was Straight Up Offended When Fan Asked Him If He's Signing For Man United

The footage was captured following Crystal Palace's pre-season clash against Gillingham on Tuesday night.

Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha was left 'flabbergasted' when a fan asked him if he was joining former club Manchester United this summer. You can see a clip of that bizarre moment below.

The 29-year-old Ivory Coast international bagged a brace for Palace in their pre-season clash against Gillingham on Tuesday.

The Eagles picked up a 3-2 win ahead of their Premier League opener against Arsenal on August 5.

And after the full-time whistle, match-winner Zaha was walking around the Priestfield Stadium when he was asked a question by TikTok user Chreamsie.

After the fan asked if he is "going to United", Zaha replied: "What? What on earth?" before walking away.

Zaha, who scored 15 goals in all competitions for Palace last season, will likely play a key role in the club's upcoming campaign.

But it wouldn't be a transfer window without the former Manchester United man being linked with a move away.

Jose Mourinho's AS Roma are reportedly interested in his services and with Zaha entering the final 12 months of his contract at Selhurst Park, a transfer is more likely than ever.

That being said, Palace boss Patrick Vieira says the player is "happy in our football club" following rumours.

One thing is for certain; a move to United for the talented Zaha is highly unlikely.

Back in 2018, he admitted that his two-year spell at Old Trafford made him "down and depressed" as he struggled to break into their first-team plans.

“Obviously, getting to United isn’t easy, so not being given a chance is hard to take. I don’t regret anything because it made me stronger. I feel as though I can deal with anything now," he told The Sun.

“I went through so much with United, with England. There were rumours that the reason I wasn’t playing for United was because I slept with David Moyes’s daughter, and no one attempted to clear that up."

He added: “So I was fighting my demons by myself, these rumours that I knew weren’t true.

“I was dealing with this at 19 – living in Manchester by myself, nowhere near anyone else, because the club had a hold over where I lived. They hadn’t given me a car, like every other player. Nothing.

"I’m living in this hell by myself, away from my family, and I thought, ‘If this doesn’t make me stronger, what will?’

“When I was at United I had money, but I was still so down and depressed. People think your life’s different because you’ve got money, you’ve got fame, so they don’t treat you the same.”
