Kyle Walker took a bizarre cannon ball-like throw-in, nearly took Bernardo Silva's head off

Kyle Walker's throw-in to Bernardo Silva got fans online talking.

Fans can't get enough of the hilarious exchange between Kyle Walker and Bernardo Silva during Manchester City's win over Chelsea.

Man City closed the gap on league leaders Arsenal by five points following their 1-0 victory at Stamford Bridge.

Second-half substitute Riyad Mahrez tapped home from close range after Jack Grealish picked him out in the 63rd minute.

But a moment in the first-half involving Walker and Silva has got people online talking, leaving fans in stitches.

In the 35th minute, the Man City right-back was in charge of a throw-in.

He looked around for options before making a bizarre decision. He fired the ball at Silva, who ducked out of the way as the visitors gave up possession.

Silva's known for having a silky first touch, but Walker was definitely overestimating his teammate's skills as he launched the ball at him like he owned him money.

Pep Guardiola clearly wasn't impressed as he dragged off the England international at the break.

The moment between the pair of Man City stars didn't go unnoticed on social media.

One Twitter user wrote: "Why’d Kyle throw it like he owed him money?"

A second joked: "When I have a teammate that I don't like."

A third added: "Bernardo did his yearly 'I want out of Manchester' interview and Kyle clearly not happy bout it."

A fourth said: "Threw it like a cannon ball. Would of broken Silva's nose."

Another commented: "Bernardo Silva has one of the best touches in the world but what on earth was Kyle Walker thinking here."

Grealish, who had a big role in Man City's goal, spoke about his side's control in the second-half after the result.

"Half-time was lively," he revealed. "I’m not going to go into too much detail but the manager changed a few things and had a few words with us.

"We came out and for the first 25-30 minutes we dominated, had more chances and I think once we got the goal, it felt like we had control of the game."
