Figures from transfermarkt has shown the managers that have spent the most on transfers since 2000 and some of the names have truly surprised fans on social media.
During the summer, we have seen Paris Saint-Germain sign several superstars such as Lionel Messi, Sergio Ramos, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Georgina Wijnaldum and Achraf Hakimi which has been declared as one of the greatest transfer windows of all time.
During all this incredible movement between clubs, transfermarkt have released a table which shows which managers have spent the most in transfer fees since 2000.
Jose Mourinho, Pep Guardiola and Carlo Ancelotti unsurprisingly hold the top three spots at the table with €1.76, €1.59 and €1.37 billion worth of expenditure.

As all three have been involved in numerous mega transfers across the elite clubs of Europe including Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester United, AC Milan, Chelsea and Manchester City to name a few.
One of Mourinho's biggest criticisms during his time in management was his need to spend vast amounts of money in order to succeed.
However, some fans have commented on Guardiola's place in the table despite arriving onto the management scene significantly later than Mourinho and Ancelotti.
One fan said: "It is good to note, Pep's actual coaching career started in 2008 with Barca senior team yet, he is the 2nd highest spending manager since 2000. This is a true definition of over reliance on individual brilliance."
Guardiola, Ancelotti and Mourinho may still be set to add to these amounts this summer as they look to bolster their squads.

One of the most surprising names amongst fans was Manuel Pellegrini's inclusion in the list yet he was part of Real Madrid and Manchester City when they signed players such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Kevin de Bruyne, Kaka and Raheem Sterling.
Even though many fans have often suggested that Arsenal were not able to spend like other top teams in the decade after they moved to the Emirates stadium, Arsene Wenger is eighth on the list with €891 million.
At the bottom of the list was Unai Emery who succeeded Wenger at Arsenal yet was most notably part of the transfer that brought Neymar to PSG for €222 million.
